Operational AI.
Governed from day one.
KARECTL lets organisations put AI to work on live services, on the same governed architecture used for research, without sending sensitive data outside the organisation.
AI for Live Services
AI applications in production support services such as follow-up triage and waiting-list prioritisation, working on data inside the governed environment.
Self-Hosted Models
Large language models (LLMs) run on the platform's own infrastructure using vLLM. No sensitive data is sent to third-party AI services.
Approved Before Use
Each AI application is approved through the organisation's information governance and clinical safety processes, with oversight from our Data Access Committee (DAC) and Public Advisory and Accountability Group (PAAG), before it is used.
Separate Governed Environments
Operational AI runs in its own governed environment, separate from research, on the same architecture.
Scoped Access
People and AI applications only reach the data their approved service needs. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is enforced through Keycloak.
Shared Foundations
Operational services reuse the platform's identity, security, monitoring and audit, so each new AI application does not start from scratch. Platform activity is centrally logged; a tamper-evident audit trail is in development.
