Powerful tools.
Research inside the governed environment.
KARECTL gives university and clinical researchers the tools, compute and collaboration they need. Governance stays rigorous, while approval workflows are streamlined so research can start sooner.
R and Python Toolchains
Work in the software you already know: R, Python, RStudio and JupyterHub. Compute is brought to the data, not the other way around, so familiar tools never mean weaker governance.
Streamlined Governance
Project set-up, data ingestion and workspace provisioning are largely automated, so projects start with the right permissions, tooling and data access without manual set-up for each one.
Collaborative Projects
Multiple researchers work together in the same project. Shared repositories, shared workspaces, and the governed environment mean whole teams, including collaborators from other institutions, analyse the same data side by side.
Scalable Compute on Demand
Access a range of scalable compute capabilities within the workspace. From a lightweight notebook to large-scale analytical jobs, resources grow with the demands of the study rather than the limits of a fixed desktop. Idle workspaces scale to zero.
AI-Assisted Research
Self-hosted large language models run inside the governed environment, and no data is sent to third-party AI services. Agentic research tools for coding assistance, literature synthesis and analytical support are in development.
Federated Multi-Site Studies
Take part in multi-institution studies through federated analysis (DataSHIELD). Analyses run where the data is held, so no partner transfers raw data or gives up custody. Agreements between partners are still required. AI orchestration of federated analysis is in development.
Outputs Reviewed Before Release
Research outputs are reviewed before they leave the governed environment.
